Enzo Fernández Set for Argentina’s 2026 World Cup Squad

Enzo Fernández is on course to be included in Argentina’s official squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the Chelsea midfielder widely expected to remain a central figure in the reigning champions’ plans.

Fernández has been a key part of Argentina’s midfield since breaking through on the international stage during the 2022 World Cup, where he played a major role in the team’s title-winning campaign. His passing range, work rate and experience at the highest level have kept him firmly in contention as Argentina prepare to defend their crown in North America.

The final squad list is due to be confirmed before the tournament, with FIFA expected to publish official rosters ahead of the competition. Barring injury or a major selection surprise, Fernández is positioned to be among the names called up for Argentina’s World Cup defense.
