Messi Set for Argentina’s 2026 World Cup Squad

Lionel Messi is widely expected to be named in Argentina’s official squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, extending one of the most celebrated international careers in modern football. The 38-year-old captain remains central to Argentina’s plans as the reigning champions prepare to defend their title on the world stage.

Argentina is set to finalize its roster ahead of the tournament, and Messi’s inclusion would come as little surprise given his enduring influence and leadership. If confirmed, the announcement would mark another major milestone for the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner, who continues to shape Argentina’s identity heading into the summer’s biggest competition.
