Palacios Set for Argentina's 2026 World Cup Squad

Exequiel Palacios is widely expected to secure a place in Argentina’s official squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, strengthening the midfield options as the national team prepares to defend its title. The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder has remained an important part of Lionel Scaloni’s setup, valued for his versatility, discipline and ability to link play from deep positions.

Argentina’s final squad announcement is due by June 1, 2026, and Palacios appears well positioned to be among the players included. With experience at major international tournaments and a steady role in the national team’s midfield rotation, he is likely to be part of the group tasked with leading Argentina into another World Cup campaign.
