Lautaro Martínez Set for Argentina’s World Cup Squad

Argentina is widely expected to name Lautaro Martínez in its official squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the Inter Milan striker once again projected to play a central role in the national team’s attack. Martínez has remained one of Argentina’s most important forwards under recent managerial plans, combining goal-scoring ability with the movement and experience that have made him a regular fixture in major international tournaments.

As the official roster deadline approaches, Martínez appears to be among the safest selections for the defending champions. His presence would give Argentina a proven No. 9 option heading into the tournament, alongside a core of established veterans and emerging talent as the team prepares to defend its title on the world stage.
